In response to an e-mail from Linda Chevez where she cited Matt 25;34-40 as reason to let illegal alien into this country and how we should treat them.You can take a scripture and twist it to fit any meaning you want it to.
Matt25;34-40....come, you have been blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for YOU from the founding of the world.....I was hungry and you fed me,...thirsty and you game me drink...a stranger and you received he hospitably...naked and clothed me .... sick and you looked after me...in prison and you came to me....the righteous ones said; ?Lord, when did we see you in hungry and fed you...thirsty and give you drink? etc ...He said; .to the extent that you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.
The key word here is ?brother.? Followers of Jesus.
A brother can be the child of your parents, but in this case it means;
In a Christian congregation members enjoy a common spiritual relationship analogous to that of brothers. Jesus called his disciples brothers.....Matt 25;40...38;10....John 20;17.
The term ?brother? extends out beyond the immediate associates of Jesus to include the whole congregation of believers...Matt. 23,8....who have the work of witnessing to Jesus...1 Pet 2;17...5;9.
These brother are under obligation to be LAWFUL. This they were taught by Jesus because he was an example for them to follow.
These are NOT the illegal aliens that break the law to enter this country, to work and take advantage of the freebies of this country. They leave jobs, home and have paid thousands of dollars to be smuggled in this country. They are NOT the brothers that Jesus speak about in Matt 25 because they are not starving, not naked, not hungry or sick, they are just greedy grabbers who want our way of life. So does a lot of other countries whoes people are really starving.

Linda, this just do not fly as an excuse to welcome illegal aliens into this country with our arms wide open and our banks accounts open wide.

Didn't King David a man after God's own heart break all kinds of laws and he was forgiven? Perhaps you didn't learn in school of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, which was signed to end the war between Mexico and the US. and it guaranteed Mexicans the right to speak Spanish.
